April 6

April 6th was Mattie's due date. I always think about it when this date rolls around, probably because I spent eight months thinking of nothing but April 6th. As we now know, she couldn't wait to meet her parents until that day, and decided to come a month early. She has been doing most everything on her own her own terms ever since.

And this was her on her actual due date a month later, still so tiny. She was still under 5lbs at this point b/c she didn't get back to 5lbs 1oz (her birth weight) until the week after this:

It still blows my mind a little that I ever had a baby that little!!
